Quick check-in

I have something I want to post about, but since it is almost midnight I also want to get to bed. Just wanted to say that I am still here, though rather the worse for the wear. I spent the last couple of days tearing the carpet out of our main floor (everything but the kitchen). Hubby is super swamped at work and not available to help, so I cut it into controllable pieces and carted it out to the curb for our town's Clean-up Day. Now the work of refinishing the wood floors! I am hoping I can get them sanded down without ruining them. Lots of work ahead of me, but I can already tell I will enjoy having wood floors.

So I will think about my other post and see if I have it ready in the morning.

I loved my wood floors at my last house! I really miss them. Here in the new house, we have carpeting and tiled floors. After one and a half years here, I already feel likemy floors are so germy! Can't disinfect that carpet as easily as I could the hardwood! Bless your heart for all the hard work you are doing! A friend and I removed carpet and redid the wood floors to sell her mom's house a couple years ago. You have all my respect girl! I know how much work it is!

off topic... thanks for visiting my blog... the fudge mom is looking for does not have chocolate... I think it was a "vanilla" flavor...however, she is almost 70, so I'm curious to see if it taste to her like it did when she was a kid. Ya know, the perspective of a child is always different than an adult.

Thanks!

Wow, that's quite the task to tackle all by yourself. I'm sure you'll love the finished wood floor - and you can say you did it all by yourself!!!

I love wood floors. I put down area rugs in the winter, but come spring, they are rolled up!

Our storm pictures are up on my blog. Hold on to your hat!
