Yep, my old computer finally died. It tried to be nice to me and told me to back up all my files immediately because it was going kaput, but it was already too late! So, while I cluelessly search for a new 'puter my darling daughter is letting me use her laptop. Boy, is this hard getting used too. Definately can't teach this old dog new tricks! So if anyone has advice for me on what to get or what not to get in a new computer, please share!
Oh, and just in case you need the reminder, back up anything you don't want to lose!
I probably won't post again until we have the new computer.

I have an e-machine at home and it was cheap (inexpensive) and I've had NO problems with it. However - any new computer you buy will have Vista on it and IT STINKS!!!!!
I leave all the computer stuff up to my teenagers so I don't even have any suggestions for you. I would however like a laptop...if I had to do it over again.
Thanks for the advice,ladies. I did look at some info on the e-machine and was wondering about it. My computer worked again for one day, but then quit again, so I guess I really will have to get a new one. Maybe I am just too used to a desktop, but I have a terrible time adjusting to this laptop!
